With experience spanning almost three decades, Faizal Bin Othman specialises in water and wastewater utilities management, business and operations strategy for utilities management and large scale infrastructure management.

He started his career as Civil Engineer in 1991 with SMHB Sdn Bhd, before moving to Thames Water Malaysia Sdn Bhd as Planning Engineer. With Thames Water Malaysia, he was involved in the coordination planning for Technical Services to SAJH, upgrading the billing system of Sabah Water Department and providing strategic support to Timatch Water.

In 2003, he moved to Ranhill Group of Companies where he led business expansion activities in Malaysia, China and India. Some of the projects he secured include Madinah City Water and Wastewater Operations Audit and Development and Operations of 125MLd water treatment plant in West Bengal.

As the Group Chief Operating Officer, he was a key player during the restructuring of Ranhill Holding Berhad for its listing on Bursa Malaysia and was in charge of overseeing the Ranhill group and subsidiary operations, maintaining a turnover of RM1billion for seven operating companies. He also led a culture transformation programme to support the vision, mission and corporate values of Ranhill.
