As the head of the city, the mayor is responsible to lead Majlis Bandaraya Iskandar Puteri to achieve its vision to be a city of prosperity and affluence by the year 2020. He is in charge of the quality of the urban environment and the wellbeing of the citizens and visitors of Iskandar Puteri and council’s operational tasks.
He has 17 years experience in land administration. His wide knowledge in land law has helped him in manage the urban services, planning for catalytic development projects and coordinating the functions engaged by multiple agencies. Before joining Majlis Bandaraya Iskandar Puteri, he served as District Officer of Mersing and Chairman of Majlis Perbandaran Kluang.
