Sunbeam started his career on 2012 after joining an NGO called Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS) who works with climate scientists and spatial analysts. During his tenure, he collaborated with bright minds from Climate Resilient Ecosystems and Livelihoods (CREL), a collaboration between Bangladesh Forest Department (BFD), USAID and Winrock International.
During his days at CREL, Sunbeam mostly analysed satellite information for measuring forest health at 30 spots of Bangladesh. The analysis included carbon stock analysis, green-cover analysis and impact assessment for co-management initiatives of BFD.
With a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environment and a Master of Geography and Environment, Sunbeam specialises in systematic scientific research and is well versed in computer cartography, remote sensing and enterprise GIS.
