Datu Abdullah bin Julaihi boasts an illustrious career in civil service spanning 30 years in Land and Survey administration.. He served as the Director of Land and Survey Department Sarawak since 2019 until he was appointed as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Urban Development in 2024.
His work on organisational quality led the Department to win the Chief Minister’s Innovation Awards from 2019-2021. The Department also won the prestigious Chief Minister’s Award for Departmental Excellence Services and Quality Initiatives in 2019.
In addition, Datu Abdullah’s initiatives centered on digital innovation won the Department various industry recognitions during the 2020 and 2021 Malaysia Technology Exhibition.
Datu Abdullah is also the Chairman of the Land Surveyors Board Sarawak (LSBS) since 2019.
Datu Abdullah holds a bachelor’s degree with Honours in Syariah Law, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur and a Master’s in policy science, Curtin University of Technology Australia. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Land Administration from the Western University of Australia.
