Dr. Ahmad Parveez has held the position of Director-General of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), since being appointed in August 2019. He also holds the position of President at the International Society for Oil Palm Breeders (ISOPB) and Chairperson for the Asian Section of American Oil Chemists’ Society (AOCS).
Dr. Parveez has over 30 years’ experience in Plant Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering and Biosafety. He developed the world's first transgenic oil palm in 1997 has authored and co-authored almost 100 papers in refereed journals and more than 250 conference papers.
