Lieutenant Commander Razimi Bin Mohd Damri

As the Head of Marine Geospatial at Royal Malaysia Navy’s National Hydrographic Centre (NHC), Lieutenant Commander Razimi Bin Mohd Damri is responsible for managing marine spatial data. He is actively involved in Marine Spatial Data Infrastructure (MSDI) to support Malaysia’s National Spatial Data Infrastructure development.
A skilled Hydrographic Surveyor with a strong background in civil and military projects, Lieutenant Commander Razimi is highly experienced in bathymetric surveying using MBES, Side Scan Sonar and other hydrographic equipment. He also has a strong interest in hi-tech development and surveying technology – such as drone with photogrammetry.
As a Naval Hydrographic Surveyor, his experience includes charted data produced by NHC in WMS or WMTS environments. This has allowed sharing of data through secured or open networks and provided crucial insights for strategic decision-making during exercises and operations.
Lieutenant Commander Razimi qualifications include a Bachelor of Sciences (Nautical) from Malaysian Military Academy.
