Songkorn Siangsuebchart is a GIS expert with over two decades of industry experience and is currently a Senior GIS technical Consultant at Esri Thailand. During his 28 years with Thailand’s leading provider of GIS solutions, Songkorn has worked with customers around the country, across multiple industries, advising on best-practice application of GIS technology and location analytics.
Amongst other projects, he was one of the key technical advisors for the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) Thailand, on the Thamluang cave rescue in 2018 – a rescue mission which involved over 10,000 people and saw the successful extrication of 12 young footballers and their coach.
Songkorn holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Geography), a Master of Science Degree (Computer Science) and he is a PhD Candidate in Remote Sensing and GIS. He’s also a guest a lecturer in geospatial databases at Chulalongkorn University.
